Siem Reap Day 2 – Ta Prohm Temple, Bayon Temple, Angkor Wat

Day 2 buffet breakfast – I had a light one as I wasn’t very hungry super early in the morning! Food was just average.

We traveled on a tuk tuk the whole time today. No doubt the weather was really warm like 38 degrees heat with zero wind. Thankfully, we kept ourselves hydrated with hell loads of cold mineral water provided in our tuk tuk.

Our first itinerary was a visit to the Ta Prohm Temple.

Our second itinerary was a visit to the Bayon Temple.

After 2 strenuous temple visits, it’s finally time to reward ourselves with a lunch at a local restaurant – Palate. I liked the beef salad the most! Seriously, I think our food intake was not enough compared to all the calories burnt and sweat lost while walking to explore Ta Prohm Temple and Bayon Temple. Oh my!

After lunch, we went to the legendary Angkor Wat, which is a must visit place if you are in Cambodia.

I also grabbed a coconut drink for 1 USD to quench my thirst under the scorching sun!

After our 3 excursions ended around 3pm++, we asked our tuk tuk driver to send us to Old Market for some day time shopping. Woohoo I’m so loving all my buys. Hehe. We then returned to our hotel to freshen up.

We gathered at the hotel lobby around 6.30pm and departed for a Chinese cuisine dinner at Crystal Angkor Restaurant. Very homely cooked food.

Our night ended well with a local traditional Cambodian dance and performance at Crystal Angkor Restaurant. Somehow, we were so exhausted for the day and decided to rest earlier. Thus, we did not venture into any night life tonight. Sleep is so important to get recharged so we can have enough energy for the following two days to come! Stay tuned!
